Author Biography

Christian Tsekpoe, Pentecost University

Apostle Dr Christian Tsekpoe is an experienced scholar and researcher of international repute. He holds a PhD in Theology and Mission from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies, UK and serves as a senior lecturer and the head of the Department of Ministerial Formation and Training at the School of Theology and Mission, Pentecost University. Dr Tsekpoe’s experience in academic leadership includes previously held positions such as the Director of Postgraduate Studies and Research and the coordinator of the School of Theological Education by Extension. He has served as an adjunct lecturer at the Birmingham Christian College, UK, Pentecost Theological Institute, South Africa and a Research Faculty at the Fuller Theological Institute, USA and continues to serve as a member of many committees and boards at Pentecost University.

Dr Christian Tsekpoe’s influence extends beyond these academic roles. As an ordained Apostle of the Church of Pentecost and the resident minister of A-Lang Worship Centre in Odorkor, Accra, he is deeply rooted in practical ministry in his local community while engaged with global responsibilities. He serves on the Research and Development Committee of the Church of Pentecost worldwide and has been appointed as a member of the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches, showcasing his international recognition and influence. He is also a board member of the Visionary Organizational Development and Entrepreneurial Club, Africa (VODEC Africa) and the board chairman of the Centre for Strategic Philanthropy a Social Investment (CESPSI), Ghana.

Dr Tsekpoe’s commitment to the next generation is a cornerstone of his work. As an international conference speaker, he not only shares his knowledge and insights with the youth but also shows leadership in teaching, mentoring and nurturing them to fully develop their potential and make the desired impact in society.

His research interests are centred around the next generation and issues of contextualization, aiming to bridge the gap between theory and practice as well as the older and younger generations in Africa and the African diaspora. He has authored numerous articles and books, including the groundbreaking “Intergenerational Missiology: An African Pentecostal Perspective.”

He is married to Olivia, and their union is blessed with three children. Apostle Dr Christian Tsekpoe is a respected family man, a scholar and a minister of the gospel who inspires hope for the next generation of African leaders.
